About PipPeek
PipPeek is a browser puzzle game at pippeek.com. This page explains the data used to run the game, save progress and provide optional account and social features. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
Playing as a guest
Your browser stores completed levels, collection items, preferences and pending saves locally. Clearing site data or using a private browsing session can remove this progress. The game also uses a guest cookie and server records to keep online play associated with the same guest. These records include puzzle attempts, completion status and timestamps. They support saving, linking guest progress to an account and checking leaderboard results.
Optional accounts
If you create an account, the service stores your email address, display name and session information. Email-and-password accounts also store a protected password representation. The account service records locale, source attribution when supplied, and IP information. Signed-in progress is stored on the server so it can be retrieved on another device. Passwords are not shown in the game.
When Google sign-in is available and you choose it, Google shares your basic profile and email address with PipPeek. This includes your Google account identifier, display name, profile picture and email verification status. The service stores this identity information and authorization tokens to support sign-in. PipPeek requests only OpenID, email and profile access; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. Your Google password is not shared with PipPeek. You can remove PipPeek's access in your Google Account settings; doing so does not delete progress already saved by PipPeek.
Available account verification and password recovery emails are sent through Resend. The email provider receives the recipient address and message content, including the verification or recovery link, to deliver the message. Only login and email features configured for the site are shown in the game. Do not share passwords or account recovery links with other people, including in a support message.
Rankings and sharing
All game levels can count toward the global leaderboard. A first online completion of each different level counts once, with a public player alias and total. Replays and switching modes do not add points. Your email address and account name are not leaderboard labels. Verified guest completions follow you when you sign in; offline progress needs an online replay to count.
Sharing a puzzle or an achievement image is optional. Opening an invitation does not automatically connect accounts. If you explicitly accept an invitation while signed in, you and the inviter can see each other's public alias and total completed levels. Invitation links contain a private invitation token; only share them with people you want to invite.
Optional usage statistics
Usage sharing is off by default. If you enable Help improve PipPeek in Settings, PipPeek receives a random browser identifier and session identifier, the type of game or sharing action, the level identifier when relevant, and whether you arrived directly or through a puzzle or invitation. This stream does not include your email, answers, full URL, invitation token or saved progress. It is separate from the account records needed for saving and ranking.
Reports cover the last 30 days. Older usage events are cleared when new events are collected, so records can remain longer during periods without activity. You can turn sharing off at any time; this stops new events and removes the analytics identifiers from this browser when browser storage is available. Existing events follow the retention process above. Browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control preferences keep optional usage sharing off. Closing or cancelling a system share is not treated as a delivered invitation.
Hosting and cookies
Cloudflare delivers static resources and forwards dynamic requests to the game server hosted with RackNerd. Requests pass through these providers and may be included in operational or security logs. Cookies are used for guest identity and account sessions. The current game does not enable advertising, payment processing or third-party analytics. Optional first-party usage statistics are described above.
Your data and choices
Account and gameplay records are kept to provide saved progress, collections, account access, friendships and verified rankings. Clearing browser data removes local records but does not delete server-held records or your account. Removing PipPeek from your Google Account also does not delete these records.
There is no self-service account deletion or data export screen at present. To ask about your data or request access, correction or deletion, email [email protected]. We may need to confirm that the request relates to your own account before acting on it. If you contact support, the email address, message and details you choose to send are used to respond to your request.
The separate test site
test.pippeek.com is a separate development environment. Its accounts and progress may be reset during testing. Progress saved on one site does not automatically update the other. Browser-only progress, sound preferences and cookies do not automatically move between these domains. Check that any account progress you want to keep is synced, and contact support if you need help moving from the test site.
